i flew in this past week 2 be a guest judge on a new reality fashion show (coming soooon) called Concrete & Cashmere ..
i had the pleasure of staying in the LES this time around as i usually stay uptown...the Thompson has opened its newest telly there & it is off the dayum chain.
they hooked a sista up royally & gave me a room with these views...not 2 mention the rooms are nice & ah rooomy !! as opposed 2 the usual fancy coffins u find in most ny boutique hotels..
me & Maya (Boxing Kitten) went shopping & she dressed me for the show, & my life in general...she's a ray of sunshine
i also went shopping with another of my fav new yorkers Damon ( Legendary) ... he also lights up the life
He's makes me proud 2 be a "fashion victim":) nyway as we marched on trying 2 make it 2 virgin store before it closed (for the night we thought) hoping to find a discounted Sign O' the times dvd, & the new Mos Def album we came upon this :(
Def a landmark of the city in my mind ,as my first trips 2 union square consisted of me starring at the ever changing row of numbers on the gigantic clock ,contemplating time, my life, & other random deep thoughtery im sure... sad , first it was all my fav lil hole in the wall record shops & now even giants don't stand a chance...wow..sign of the times indeed...
on a brighter note Damon had a party at Gold bar that night.... i linked with my girl from way back Lindsey...
thats me trying to not make eye contact with the camera but still looking "pleasant" &/or possessed & heres Maya & one of the brains behind Third Floor
